Monday 8th June - walks *** – Felixstowe and Levington– cloudy, wet and cool!

The sun has disappeared again with early rain; despite enough breeze to foil I decided to give it a miss today after yesterdays epic 46 mile session! I had a drive round at 7.30 to take some damp, grey weather pics, first stop Felixstowe dock view point to see a large container ship being helped off it’s berth by four tugs, then onto Felixstowe Ferry for more Deben boat photos! I then managed my exercises in the back garden and even had some brief glimpses of sunshine. I then packed a picnic, my first plan was to go to Holywells Park in Ipswich for a walk with a visit the nursery by Stoke Bridge but the rain returned as we were about to leave so change of plan and we drove over to Levington Marina for a picnic in the van with views of the River Orwell. Still grey but at least the rain had stopped we decided to go for a walk down past Loompit Lake with its many swans and geese. Then along the lovely beach at Trimley foreshore and we didn’t see another soul, just the odd yacht out on the water! Then home for a cuppa and cake before dozing off:)
